How do I write a good EPB narrative statement?

A strong performance statement names the action, the impact and the scope in a single tight statement: specific, measurable, tied to the mission, and inside the 350-character limit myEval enforces per statement. What are the EPB performance areas and ALQ ratings?

The EPB assesses four Major Performance Areas (Executing the Mission, Leading People, Managing Resources and Improving the Unit) against the Airman Leadership Qualities. Each area needs at least one performance statement, and the statements are what justify the rating in that area, so every one should carry a concrete action and a measurable impact.

Does it handle award citations too?

Yes. Quarterly and annual award write-ups and decorations are graded to the same standard, and each one is saved to your Statement Bank so a single accomplishment can be reused across an award, an EPB and a promotion package.

What about OPBs for officers?
